About Sreeni
I am proud to serve as an elected Councillor for the City of Parramatta, a technology business leader, Justice of the Peace, and passionate community advocate committed to building a stronger, more connected, and more inclusive Parramatta.
Born in Hyderabad, India, and proudly calling Australia home since 1998, I have dedicated more than two decades to serving the community through volunteer leadership, local government, charitable initiatives, and business.
My journey reflects the Australian story of opportunity, hard work, and giving back to the community.
I firmly believe there is no greater measure of personal success than helping others succeed. Paying it forward, supporting those around us, and giving back to our community are the foundations of strong leadership and lasting social impact.
This philosophy continues to guide both my public service and professional life.
Today, I proudly serve as a Councillor for the City of Parramatta, representing the Epping Ward.
I am committed to ensuring the voices of local residents are heard, advocating for practical solutions, and delivering outcomes that strengthen neighbourhoods, support families, and improve quality of life.
With more than 30 years of experience in information technology, enterprise software, and business leadership, I play a leadership role within SoftLabs, a respected Australian family-owned technology company established in 1991.
Having taken over the leadership of the family business, I have helped guide its continued growth by delivering digital transformation and enterprise technology solutions to government and private sector organisations across Australia.
As a strategic thinker and problem solver, I combine commercial experience with strong governance principles.
I hold a Master’s degree and have completed the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) Governance Program, providing me with extensive experience in corporate governance, strategic planning, financial oversight, business transformation, organisational leadership, and negotiation.
As a Councillor, I believe local government works best when it is accessible, accountable, transparent, and responsive.
I have built a strong reputation for listening to residents, supporting local businesses and sports clubs, advocating for improved infrastructure, enhancing public services, preserving our local heritage, and helping residents navigate council processes.
My commitment to service extends well beyond Council. Over many years, I have volunteered with numerous multicultural, charitable, educational, sporting, and community organisations across Greater Sydney.
One of my most recognised community initiatives was the 380-kilometre Walk for Farmers from Sydney to Canberra, raising awareness and support for Australian farming families during one of the nation’s most challenging droughts.
Inspired by my family’s legacy of public service, particularly my father’s dedication to helping others, I have always believed that leadership begins with listening, understanding community needs, and taking meaningful action.
As a Justice of the Peace, I continue to support community initiatives, fundraising campaigns, and charitable organisations while advocating for stronger opportunities for children, families, seniors, local businesses, and future generations.
Throughout my public life, I have remained committed to bringing people together across cultures, faiths, and generations.
I believe Australia’s multicultural diversity is one of our greatest strengths and that inclusive communities are built through respect, collaboration, and genuine engagement.
Outside public life, I enjoy playing cricket for a local club and am a proud supporter of the Parramatta Eels.
Whether serving residents through Council, supporting community organisations, or contributing to business and economic growth, my focus remains the same—to listen, lead with integrity, and deliver practical outcomes that make a positive difference to people’s lives.
