I, Sreeni Pillamarri, Councillor for Hornsby Shire Council in NSW and Australian Indian Community Representative and member of many other Australian associations, has been invited to various Chinese events through there associations.
Events like Lunar new year celebrations, Arts and Performances from Chinese community.
Today I would like to share my experience and feedback about Shen Yun Performing Arts.
I was privileged to attend Shen Yun Performance in 2018 and following years. it’s truly a heart touching Art form which connected to deep down history and heritage of Chinese and Indian Diaspora.
It continues to captivate local Australians and international audiences of all age’s groups through its traditional Chinese music and dance performances.
I wish all the Shen Yun Team for bringing in incredible talent to Australia.

Sreeni Pillamarri, a Hornsby Shire Council member and Justice of the Peace in NSW, said he really liked Falun Dafa. Having worked with practitioners for nearly ten years, he was aware of their contributions to society. He explained that their lifestyle—meditation and peace—allows people to do things more effectively. That is why he is grateful that Falun Dafa practitioners have worked tirelessly to help their communities.
He said that the persecution in China is totally wrong, since freedom of belief should be respected. He said, “The principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance are absolutely needed in our society.” He thanked practitioners for “participating in the event and presenting the practice to local residents so that more people can benefit from it.”
